Before you start
- Have the 10-digit Call Kettle number we gave you handy. We send it to you during setup, and it is also on your dashboard.
- Use a different phone to test when you finish (the next guide shows how).
- You can do this on the phone with us. Call or email and we stay on the line while you set it up.
Vonage Business (office phone system)
This is from Vonage's "Forward Call Options" article for Vonage Business Communications. Forwarding is set by an administrator for each extension.
- Sign in to the Vonage Admin Portal.
- Click Phone System, then Extensions.
- Hover over the extension and click the pencil icon.
- Click Call Forwarding and switch Forward Calls on.
- Choose Send to Ext. or Number and enter the 10-digit Call Kettle number.
- Vonage says forwarded calls ring for the time you set and, if nobody answers, go to voicemail.
- For after-hours forwarding to a mobile or outside number, Vonage's page points to its Virtual Receptionist. Ask your administrator to send the after-hours option to our number.
- Calls to numbers outside your plan can carry extra charges from Vonage.
Vonage home (residential) lines
Vonage's residential page: set it in your online account under Features, or from the phone dial *72, enter the number with area code, and press 1 to confirm. Dial *73 to turn forwarding off. Vonage says not to use call forwarding if you use inbound calling with its Extensions app.

Next: test it with a call from another phone. If you ever want your phone back: turn forwarding off.
