SMS opt-in: Call Kettle Owner Alerts
How a business owner agrees to receive account texts from Call Kettle, exactly what we send, and how to stop. This program is for owners who sign up. It is not a marketing list and it does not text callers.
How consent is collected
When you send your details on the signup form at app.callkettle.com/start (the form behind the Start free buttons on callkettle.com/start-free), you see an optional checkbox under “Anything else?”. It is unchecked by default and signing up does not require it. This is the checkbox as it appears:
I agree to receive text messages from Call Kettle about my account (alerts and notices). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of signing up. See the Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.
The signup form also asks for your cell phone number (the number we text). We record that you ticked the box, the time, and the version of this wording.
Program
- Program name: Call Kettle Owner Alerts. Sender: Call Kettle.
- Who gets texts: business owners (18 or older) who ticked the box. Nobody else.
- Frequency: varies with account activity. Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out: reply STOP at any time. Help: reply HELP or email hellocallkettle@gmail.com. Opt back in: reply START.
Sample messages
Call alert: “Call Kettle: new call at 2:14 PM from a caller about a no-heat repair. Details are in your dashboard: https://app.callkettle.com. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
Usage notice: “Call Kettle: you have used 20 of your 25 free calls this month. Add a plan at https://app.callkettle.com to keep your line active. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
Reply to STOP: “You are unsubscribed and will not receive more messages. Reply START to resubscribe.”
Reply to HELP: “Call Kettle: help at hellocallkettle@gmail.com. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out.”
